It worked.
It worked. My two old hens have now spent four nights huddled around my 60-watt bulb and emerged each morning to flap their wings. The whole experience has given me a tremendous sense of well-being. I've spent three days and nights with my water frozen and finally managed to get a plumber today. Amazing how different the world feels after you've had a shower and made a fresh pot of coffee.
