Learning to Ride a Leopard

I once saw a painting by an artist named Philip Evergood entitled "Learning to Ride a Tiger."
I've always remembered Evergood's strange and surreal fantasy. I finally decided to do a "variation."

  2. Thank you, Betty.
Some twenty years ago, I saw a painting by an artist named Philip Evergood entitled "Learning to Ride a Tiger." It was a strange and surreal thing, but I never forgot it. Then, I found a comment by a novelist who said that riding tigers was a dangerous undertaking because you couldn't get off. He compared it to some types of writing which often brought writers into a dangerous kind of creativity which resembled "riding a tiger/leopard." I've always remembered that comparison.
