John Quinnett, our Bryson City haiku master, discusses his love of this seventeen-syllable poetic form which he has been using for the past twenty years to capture "singular moments" in his daily life.The four poems that he discussed were inspired by such events as a family death, eating out in restaurants and the 4th of July. Quinnett's work is published in a number of major haiku journals.
