Last Saturday, I told stories at the Burke County Public Library in Morganton, N. C. and found this sculpture on the main floor. This kid definitely reminded me of my childhood love of the library. If that were me, I can probably give you the title of those books: Bob, Son of Battle; Thunderhead, Son of Flicka; The Black Stallion; Lassie, Come Home, The Sea Snake, Green Grass of Wyoming, maybe something "forbidden" like a I, the Jury. I always checked out too many.
